Find fast answers to our most frequently asked questions
- Do I need to let you know if I visit Canada with my bike?
No. With our policy your bicycle is covered anywhere in the USA & Canada.
Continue reading → - Is my helmet covered?
If you crash and there is damage to your bicycle worth claiming for, then you can claim for your helmet and other damaged kit as well.
Continue reading → - Do you cover my apparel and spare parts?
Yes and at no extra cost, but you must have bicycle physical damage coverage. The bicycle also must have been involved in a covered loss for you to be able to claim on apparel or spare parts. Both coverages have a separate limit of $500 per loss and a $1,000 limit per policy year. Apparel (clothing or gear worn exclusively when riding the insured bicycle). Spare parts (replacements for items that are normally part of the insured bike but were not on the bicycle when the loss occurred)
Continue reading → - Can you recommend a specific lock for my bicycle?
The better your lock, the lower the risk of your bicycle being stolen, period. Locking your bike with two good locks are also way better than one good lock. Basically, anything that will take the thief time increases their chances of being caught. We don’t recommend specific locks, but recommend that you invest in a decent lock. It is not uncommon and not a bad rule of thumb to invest 10% of your bike value in a lock.
Continue reading → - How does the deductible apply? Per accident or per year?
The policy deductible is applied per claim. If you have three claimable accidents in a year then you have three deductibles.
Continue reading → - If I buy a new wheelset can I add value to the policy?
Yes, just tell us how much value to want to add. If you keep your old wheel set as training wheels they remain covered when they are on the bike and as spare parts when they are not installed on the bike.
Continue reading → - Are my racing wheels covered if I loan them to a friend?
No. Once your wheels are on another bike they are no longer part of your insured bike and no longer covered by your bike’s insurance.
